I joined the residents of Kartong in their struggle to put an end to sand mining there.
I’m so happy to be a member of this group of brave people that speak up for what they believe in because they care about their community. Advised them last Saturday that we would discover that the sand miners had not done things according to the rules, and that is exactly what happened. As a result, it was a very tense meeting, but since we had done our homework, this matter is now back on the table for the Minning company.
This is a massive victory for the people of Kartong and the environment, and the struggle against environmental injustices continues!
